Square Foot Commercial Group was built inside Crary Real Estate to give institutional owners, HOAs and lenders a single resource for the work that doesn’t fit neatly into traditional brokerage — bylaw reviews, reserve studies, HOA management, portfolio consulting.

David relocated from Omaha to Grand Forks in 2019 and now raises his two sons, in the community he works in every day.
He co-founded Square Foot Commercial Group, a commercial brokerage operating under Crary Real Estate, where his work covers listings, lease negotiation, property valuation, and broker price opinions. The firm also manages 260+ HOA units across multiple communities and is developing loan-readiness services for association boards, reserve studies, bylaw review, and lender financial packaging.
On the residential side, he co-founded Grand Forks Home Team, bringing commercial-grade valuation and negotiation skills to homebuyers and investors.
He serves on the Grand Forks Association of Realtors Board of Directors and the city’s Public Arts Commission, and he’s currently pursuing his CCIM designation.
I began my real estate career with Crary Real Estate in 2004 at the age of 20. Assisting a few commercial transactions early on helped me find my calling. I had the opportunity to connect with, grow, and wholly embrace the commercial side of real estate; leasing and selling over the last 10 years.
More experience and satisfied customers indicated a need for dedicated commercial agents in the northern valley, so I decided to develop Square Foot Commercial Group under the Crary umbrella. I have had the opportunity to assist with the transition of flagship properties in our area along with deals ranging from startup leases to multi-million dollar sales in retail and multifamily.
